In an effort to reduce collisions, loss of life and damage to property, the Pflugerville Police Department has initiated its targeted traffic enforcement campaign, ‘Operation Safe Travels’.

Now through January 1, 2019, residents can expect to see increased police presence at these intersections, identified as the top three for collisions: East Pecan Street and FM 685, Kelly Lane and FM 685, and N. Heatherwilde Boulevard and Wilke Lane. This campaign will also target the FM 685/Stone Hill Town Center corridor.

The primary causes for collisions at these intersections have been identified as following too closely/failing to control speed, failing to yield the right-of-way turning left, as well as driver inattention.
