New team president Andy Loughnane has a lot on his plate, including overseeing the construction of the new stadium in North Austin, as well as building a roster of talent worthy of generating the revenue promised to the city. Loughnane also wants to hit the ground running this year with new community engagement efforts.
Loughnane said he will also introduce a scholarship program for kids this year, as well as camps and clinics to engage the youth in lower-income parts of Austin.
City estimates are that the team could inject more than $800-million into Austin’s economy over the next two decades.
Team rosters are expected within 16 months.
