Several medical groups across Texas look to improve the state’s HPV vaccination rates. Austin Regional Clinic’s Dr. Kimberley Avila Edwards says only 33{91a3a066265893d5d93b921204e5bbe4720deb431f82cc483a406ec22b140854} of Texans are vaccinated. But among those vaccinated there have been good results showing that the vaccine does work well.
Dr. Edwards says 4-outta-five people will get an HPV infection in their lifetime, and about 32-thousand Americans get cancer because of it.
