Round Rock ISD will ask if the district can borrow $508 million for improvements

Last year the Round Rock district lost on a bond issue because voters didn’t want to pay for things like a new high school and a natatorium. Fast forward one year and many of the same projects that were rejected have come back except the high school. Marshall Sprigg was on the citizens bond advisory committee and doesn’t like what he sees.

District officials said there would be no change to the tax rate if the bond passes but Sprigg says it still is going to cost taxpayers close to two hundred million more.
