The Lake Travis School District has updated its Student Code of Conduct policies to reflect recent legislation passed this year at the Capitol. LTISD general counsel Amber King says the had to add a handful of weapons to the district’s list of prohibited items.
Also, with the legalization of hemp across Texas, the district has added both that and CBD oil to the prohibited list. A new threat assessment model will also be used in an effort to prevent dangerous behavior before it arises.
