It is Texas Independence Day and that means it’s parade time in downtown Austin. The Celebrate Texas parade rolled through downtown from the Ann Richards Congress Ave. Bridge, marching up Congress Ave. to the State Capitol Grounds. The parade went from 9:30 until noon. It was one of several celebrations and ceremonies around Austin marking Independence Day.
