Cedar Park hopes to strike a deal that some city leaders are already calling “historic”
The city council has now approved a preliminary plan to offer the United States Tennis Association Texas $60-million in incentives to move to the city and become the anchor business within the new Indigo Ridge North mixed-use development. Director of Economic Development Ben White said this is a highly sought after agreement.
If USTA-Texas comes to Cedar Park, the revenue generated is projected to be about $140-million.
The city says that would go a long way in taking pressure off of property taxes.
