The mobility authority has said repeatedly over the past few years that the Mopac construction is almost done. But now, according to Director of Engineering Justin Word, that statement is very true.
Originally slated to wrap in 2015, the project has been plagued by a slew of delays and contractor disputes. Word said the project should be done next month, minus the finalization of some railroad right of ways.
Miscellaneous work, including sound wall construction, should come to an end in July.
