The University of Texas Board of Regents have unanimously voted to authorize an extension of a deadline in the City of Austin’s lease of Lions Municipal Golf Course, which sits on UT-owned land.
The lease is set to expire on May 25, but the deadline for a renewal agreement is November 26. The unanimous vote allows for the lease to automatically renew for another five years if neither side gives notice to cancel it.
The city and UT System officials are expected to iron out specifics in the next week.
