The bill would eliminate the arrest, jail-time and criminal record associated with low-level marijuana possession. Instead, it carries a fine, if you are caught three times than it is a Class-C Misdemeanor.
Heather Fazio with “Texans for Responsible Marijuana Policy” claims this has a real shot at passing. Fazio also states that the bill has already received plenty of bipartisan support.
