Beer to go gets passed Texas House

Cheers

The Texas House approves a bill allowing small breweries to sell beer to go.  It still needs Senate approval.

As the Texas House was passing a bill to reauthorize the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission for another 12 years. The House adopted an amendment allowing Beer-to-go sales from Texas breweries, State Rep Eddie Rodriguez authored the amendment, allowing a single consumer to buy up to 576 fluid ounces or two cases of beer on a single day directly from breweries.

The House also adopted an amendment allowing beer and wine sales on Sundays starting at 10 am instead of noon.
