People who live near the possible testing site of the so-called “starship” in Boca Chica Beach — outside of Brownsville — say they got a notice about it.
SpaceX founder Elon Musk was asked about the notice on twitter and said “hopefully” testing would start this week, but there are always issues integrating engine and stage. He added that “first hops” will lift off, but only barely.
Starship wouldn’t be SpaceX’s first test vehicle in Texas. in Mcgregor – west of Waco – the company has been playing around with its rocket prototype called the “grasshopper.”
