Austin Police have ID’d the man they say led them on a 10 minute car chase and opened fire on officers Friday morning. The Statesman reports, 27-year-old Craig Anthony Carter faces an attempted capital murder charge. The officers involved were named as Kendrick Witt and Douglas Trahan.
Both have been with the department for five years and are on paid administrative leave following investigations by APD Internal Affairs and the Police Monitor.
