Excessive heat wave issued in North and Central Texas for first time in 7 years

We are now venturing into the worst of this heat wave. For the first time since 2011, The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for North and Central Texas.

Weather Service Meteorologist, Juan Hernanadez thinks we could see 107 to 108 degrees by the weekend, so this warning could be extended to Saturday and Sunday as well. Hernandez also said that and Excessive

Heat Warning is in effect for Travis and Williamson Counties until 8pm.
