The defense tried to poke holes in the various pieces of evidence that the prosecution has against Criner, who’s accused in the rape and murder of UT Freshman Haruka Weiser in 2016. Prosecutor Guiellermo Gonzales questions the testimony Criner gave the jury. Gonzales said Criner knows he needs a story because there is a storm of evidence against him.
Criner’s defense calls the evidence circumstantial. Criner could get life in prison if convicted since he was underage at the time of the murder.
