More water is heading for Lake Travis and area residents should take action now

More water is coming to the Austin area’s Highland lakes and the Lower Colorado River Authority’s GM Phil Wilson said this has them planning to open up 8 floodgates at Mansfield dam. Wilson notes that’s the most gates they’ve ever had to open at Mansfeild.

Wilson says the extraordinary amount of rain and water collected in Lake Travis is 4 times the amount the city of Austin uses a year.
