FBI Director Kash Patel and Utah Governor Spencer Cox give updates on the arrest of Charlie Kirk’s alleged shooter, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has signed into law legislation that would ban Muslim-only community developments and the ACLU is urging schools not to follow the law that mandates the 10 Commandments be posted in public school classrooms while legal challenges to the law play out in court.

The assassination of Charlie Kirk has spawned an investigation in Texas regarding rhetoric on college campuses, the city of Austin will launch a graffiti removal service and the teachers union in Texas is speaking out against staff being fired for posts related to the death of Charlie Kirk.

 

Wednesday 9/17

The Austin Homeless Strategy Office has ended its contract with Urban Alchemy over accusations of tampered data, the Travis County Commissioner’s Court has passed a new budget for Central Health that will raise property taxes and over 100 Texas teachers will have their licenses suspended over social media posts regarding Charlie Kirk’s death.

 

Thursday 9/18

Austin District 1 Councilman Ryan Alter joins the show to discuss the upcoming tax rate election, Leander ISD is expected to release a proposal on how to consolidate campuses today and Texas Governor Greg Abbott was in Leander to hand out flood relief checks.
