An Austin man is arrested for fatally throwing his girlfriend’s pet rabbit across a room.
Police records say 20-year-old James Raymond Nelson was arguing with her over cheating allegations in a North Austin apartment. The argument turned violent and Nelson wanted her to leave the apartment without her belongings. She refused. At one point Nelson took the rabbit threw it about 20 feet unto a hardwood floor and it died soon after. Nelson allegedly told police he just didn’t want her to have it. He faces felony animal cruelty charges
