The Round Rock City Council will take a final vote next week on changing the noise ordinance for downtown bars and music venues.  The plan is to cap the noise at 60-decibels on Friday and Saturday, as well as after 10:00 p.m. Sunday-Thursday.  Michelle Lee with the Alcove Cantina supports changes but says the city hasn’t studied enough of the impact on business owners.

60-decibels is equivalent to the sound of an air conditioner or conversational human speech.
