The Round Rock City Council will take one final vote next week on establishing roadway impact fees for developers as a way to help fund infrastructure such as roads, sidewalks, and even land acquisition. Mayor Craig Morgan says making developers chip in like this is not an easy decision, he’s also spoken to many residents, all of whom understand the need for this.
However, all of the people who spoke at last night’s council meeting were opposed.
These would be one-time costs, and they would be a standard fee. It this passes, all building permits issued before January 1 2021 would be exempt from the new fee.
