The Manor Independent School District is hosting a meeting for parents Thursday night to discuss a proposal to convert one of its current campuses into a fully functional pre-k facility.

The proposal involves moving children who currently attend Manor Elementary over to the nearby Lagos Elementary, which the district says is doable because neither campus is anywhere close to full capacity.  Once the students have been moved, work would begin to convert Manor Elementary into the Manor Early Childhood Academy which, when complete, would be large enough to hold 700 students.

Parents are being asked to weigh in on the proposal at Thursday night’s meeting.  It begins a 6:30 p.m. at Manor Elementary.
