It’s been almost 300 days since Austin Police had a contract with the city.
And they’ve been working on civil service law despite efforts to get a contract agreement. Austin Police Association President Ken Casaday says he hasn’t spoken much to City Manager Spencer Cronk even though Cronk meets regularly with stakeholders like the Austin Justice Coalition.
Casaday and Councilmember Jimmy Flannigan exchanged heated words on Thursday over the contract dispute.
