When Capital Metro CEO Randy Clarke presented his transit vision for the Austin Chamber of Commerce, it failed to mention anything about light rail.
According to Andrew Clements with the Austin Coalition For Transit, what it did talk about was autonomous rapid transit. Clements said that may be a quicker and more politically expedient solution but he has his doubts.
Clements says previous Project Connect plans call for light rail which he says Clarke is ignoring.
