Like many Austinites and music fans, Austin’s Mayor Steve Adler was saddened to learn that the historic Threadgill’s World Headquarters was closing down.
On his Facebook page Adler wrote he’s worked hard to prevent this and point to the city’s recent move to focus their business incentives program on local companies as a good first step to help prevent this.
