As Texas teachers get back to work, many of them today around Austin, they’re returning as their districts have just received an A-F letter grade. This is the first year the districts have been given the official grades, but Clay Robison with the Texas State Teachers Association said it’s very flawed, mostly because of the emphasis it puts on results of the STAAR test, which he says isn’t a full picture.
Robison claims it’s part of state lawmakers’ plan to make public schools look bad so a case can be made next year for school voucher system.
