In an effort to keep hospital bed space available during the Corona Crisis, Governor Greg Abbott today has blocked elective surgeries and procedures within hospitals in Bexar, Dallas, Harris, and Travis Counties. All elective procedures will be halted immediately. Abbott’s order does allow for counties to be individually removed from the ban when appropriate.
