Austin Congressman Lloyd Doggett will return for another term in the U.S. House. Doggett defeated Republican Jenny Garcia Sharon with 66 percent of the vote. Doggett was first elected to the seat in 1994.
This spring, the City of Georgetown will be asking voters to approve a plan to sell a portion of the city’s water service area.
