The Austin school district has hosted the second of three parent meetings regarding the new sex education curriculum which, if approved, would teach elementary and middle school kids about gender identity and sexual orientation. Plenty of parents are still opposed to the changes, citing concerns about the young age in which AISD wants to teach this curriculum.
Other parents say it’s inappropriate for a school to teach these things instead of parents.
The next meeting will take place Thursday, November 15th from 6-7:30pm at the Eastside Memorial Early College High School.
