The 2018 New Year No Refusal initiative has concluded. This initiative was conducted from December 29, 2018 thru January 1, 2019 and ran nightly from 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. During this period, 43 arrests were made for Driving While Intoxicated offenses:
Total DWI arrests during No Refusal period = 43
Blood Search Warrants: 21
Consent Breath Samples: 12
Consent Blood Samples: 10
Of those arrests, the following number had enhanced DWI charges:
Consent Breath Samples over .15= 2
Class A Misdemeanor DWI (with prior conviction) = 4
Felony DWI (2 or more prior convictions) = 4
Felony DWI Child Passenger = 1
