APD Searching for Women Behind Downtown Robbery

The Austin Police Department is on the hunt for two women accused of robbing a man of his phone and watch in downtown, then transferring money out of his bank accounts.

According to APD, the two women stole a man’s iPhone, as well as a Rolex watch. In all, the items were valued at more than $9000.

Following the theft, the two women reportedly used apps on the stolen iPhone to transfer thousands of dollars into their possession.

One of the women is described as:

  • Black female
  • 5’3”-5’7” tall
  • 160-180 lbs.
  • Between 23 to 35 years of age
  • Long black hair

The second woman is described as:

  • Black female
  • 5’3”-5’7” tall
  • 130-160 lbs.
  • Between 23 to 30 years of age
  • Long black hair, dark birthmark on right middle of forehead, arm sleeve tattoos on left arm.

Anyone with any information may submit a tip anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program by visiting austincrimestoppers.org or by calling 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest.
