The Austin Police Department is hoping the public can help track down the driver hit and killed another person on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
According to APD, officers responded to a crash involving a truck and a motorized scooter at the intersection of East 11th Street and San Jacinto Boulevard. The truck fled the scene and the rider of the scooter, identified as Khaled Saadeddine, later died at the hospital from his injuries.
This is being investigated as Austin’s 78th fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 82 deaths. On the date of this crash in 2024, 71 fatal crashes had been recorded that resulted in 76 deaths.
