Strong storms in the Austin area this morning could lead to power outages.
With severe weather in our midst, Power outages and downed power lines are a concern. Austin Energy Jennifer Herber says there’s three ways to report power outages. One is to text the word outage to 287-846. “The second way is you can visit our outage map. And this is probably the best way because you can also see all the outages in one place. That’s outagemap.austinenergy.com.” Herber says the third way is to call it in at 512-322-9100.
Herber says if you text the word register to 287-846, they will proactively tell you of power outages as they become aware of them.
