Due to the recent rains, the Austin Parks and Recreation Department (PARD), is closing the Barton Creek Greenbelt today, Thursday, January 3, 2019, due to fast moving water and debris on the trail.
For the safety of Greenbelt patrons, the city is asking that the public does not use the greenbelt until the Parks Department has determined it is safe.
The Department will update the public as soon as it reopens.
