As Austin remains under a citywide boil water notice, cities around Austin are under far less pressure.
Cedar Park, Leander, and Round Rock draw their drinking water from parts of Lake Travis that have not been affected by the murky waters like Austin has. In Bastrop, officials say they draw their water from underground wells that are both sealed and submerged.
Most of the City of Dripping Springs is also outside of the boil water notice, although customers of the West Travis County Public Utility Association are being advised to both boil and conserve.
Cities not under the boil water notice include:
- Buda
- Bastrop
- Cedar Park
- Georgetown
- Kyle
- Leander
- Manor
- Round Rock
- Dripping Springs (except customers of WTCPUA)
