Another lawsuit has been filed against Camp Mystic following last year’s deadly flooding over the July 4th weekend. 27 campers and counselors were killed when flooding caused the Guadalupe River to rise rapidly, ultimately sweeping them away.
One little girl is still missing.
8-year old Cile Steward, who attended Zilker Elementary in Austin, has not been found, and her family is behind this latest lawsuit — the fifth such suit that Camp Mystic has been hit with.
The family is also suing the Eastland family, who owns Camp Mystic. Dick Eastland died in the flooding.
The Steward family wants a jury trial and at least $1 million.
In total, 135 people were killed in the catastrophic flooding.
