Part of Cap Metro’s Cap Remap is a First Mile/Last Mile pilot program for eligible northwest Austin bus riders to get a free ride to and from a couple of bus stops on Exposition Blvd. Cap Metro’s Mariette Hummell says it’s a partnership with RideAustin and while she can’t exactly gauge the success of it after only three days, Hummell says she hasn’t heard any complaints about it either.
Hummell says it’s to help people who would be farther away from their bus stops after the launch of Cap Remap, they also hope to expand the program from beyond the Exposition innovation zone.
