$720-million is the largest dollar figure ever approved by Austin voters for any one single ballot item, in this case mobility back in 2016. And while much of the work already completed has been on a rather small scale, Mike Trimble with the city’s Corridor Program Office said the city is on pace to meet or exceed its intended goals.
Trimble said so far the city is 100-percent on budget to meet all of its construction goals within the next eight years. That money is all slated for transportation and mobility improvements, and so far the city has completed 148 projects, put another 117 in the pipeline, and greenlit 11 regional corridors for major design overhauls.
