Some Monday morning quarterbacking reveals a weakness that Senator Ted Cruz had in his re-election bid against Beto O’Rourke that Senator John Cornyn does not. Political operative Karl Rove says Cruz underperformed in votes and percentage than other Republicans on the ballot with him, namely suburban voters.
Rove says those suburbanites see Cornyn as an effective leader for Texas in the US Senate. No word yet on who will run against Cornyn.
