Travis County Officials hope to have one plan picked for the Steiner Ranch’s evacuation route before a community meeting slated for next month.
The County’s David Greear says they’ve whittled it down from 12 to three and the most promising one is a new general use road that would run from the western edge of the neighborhood to 620. He says its the most direct route and would come with improvements to an area park.
The other two options would be emergency only roads and are not eligible for the same grant funds.
