A Travis County grand jury has cleared a former Manor Independent School district police officer in connection to an incident two years ago.
In February of 2024, Officer Khristopher House was involved in a use-of-force case involving a student who wound up with injuries. The district later placed house on administrative leave and issued a statement saying, “Manor ISD does not condone the use of excessive force under any circumstances. We hold our staff, officers, and anyone who serves our students and community to the highest professional and ethical standards, and we will take appropriate action when those standards are not met.”
House was then fired by the district.
This week, however, District Attorney Jose Garza said the grand jury opted not to indict House after concluding that he acted lawfully.
The Manor Independent School District has not provided details on the incident.
