Interest in active shooter training spikes in the wake of a pair of attacks on religious ceremonies over the weekend.

Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody says they hosted an active shooter training after the Sutherland Springs shooting, he says he has a deputy who specializes in training folks to remember what needs to be done. For example, getting away from the shooter, denying the shooter access or defending yourself as a last recourse.

Chody says being prepared is necessary, noting the national police response rate is about three minutes.
