One by one, parents in the Leander school district told their stories of seeing hot, sweaty, red-faced children getting off of the school bus, and district officials said they understand a change must be made to get kids to and from school in a cooler environment. Superintendent Dan Troxell sid getting A/C on buses is now one of the district’s top priorities.
But Troxell says it may take some time to get old buses retrofitted with A/C, or purchase new buses, and that’s not satisfying the demands of some parents who say a change needs to come immediately.
