With COVID-19 cases on an upswing around Central Texas right now, the City of Manor has made the decision to cancel its New Year’s Eve festivities, which also were set to mark the city’s sesquicentennial anniversary.

“The City of Manor and its partners are disappointed to announce the cancellation of our New Years Eve and 150th Birthday Celebration concert and firework show,” officials said in a statement.  “The Manor Sesquicentennial Steering Committee Met Wednesday and unanimously voted for the cancellation as local health officials are asking people to reconsider any gatherings to fight the rising numbers of Omicron/Delta cases.  With Travis County moving into stage 4 it was important that we support measures to keep our community healthy and safe.”
