Much like Austin’s home prices, office space costs are still on the rise

Austin Per square foot office space costs jumped by about a dollar over the course of 2018. Commercial Real Estate firm CBRE’s First Vice President Gaines Bagby said today’s average square foot cost holds at 36-dollars and 64 cents.

Bagby also said office rents have been on the upswing since 2008, and doesn’t see that changing anytime soon.
