Property tax bills are arriving, and this is the first year you will see a difference because of Senate Bill Two. Senate Property Tax Committee Chairman, Senator Paul Betencourt says school taxes should drop this year and he says things should get even better next year when caps on tax increases take effect.
He says the statewide average school tax decrease should be around seven percent this year, depending on the school district you live in.
