Whether it’s Austin forcing businesses to pay sick time to all employees, or banning employers from asking about a criminal history until after a formal job offer has been extended, State Representative Paul Workman said what’s coming out of City Hall is a result of pressure coming from anti-capitalist activist groups.
Workman said, come 2019, he’ll have specific legislation that will tell local governments they cannot interfere with the business practices of a private company.
