Pounding rain, massive wind gusts, and plenty of hail were all a part of the line of storms that swept through Central Texas on Sunday evening.
According to Austin Energy, thousands of customers lost power during the storm, and crews worked all night to get the lights back on.
“We are currently working on dozens of outages affecting 6,555 customers,” the utility said around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday.
At last report, fewer than 3000 customers were still affected.
As of 6:00 a.m., the Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative is still reporting around 160 outages.
Reports of damage were widespread, stretching from Hays County well into Williamson County.
