The lease on the Lions Municipal Golf Course ends next May. Today, golfers and MUNY lovers are hitting the historic links to remind the landowners, UT-Austin, that even in Austin’s ever redeveloping landscape, the course should remain untouched.
Organizer Steve Wiener says the last thing Austin needs if for the MUNY to be replaced by a shoe boutique or coffee shop.
