Survey: Austin ISDs new Sex Ed Curriculum

More than 5860 people responded to the Austin school district’s survey about new a sex education curriculum.  The way parents feel about teaching elementary students about sexual orientation and STDs is fairly split, however there appears to be a strong consensus when it comes to teaching young kids about how to say ‘no’ to unwanted advances.  63{facfe2172b04f299937824a9c1283369198151460b73c952acd056710c9bd5ea} say K-2nd grade is a good time to teach about anatomy.  46{facfe2172b04f299937824a9c1283369198151460b73c952acd056710c9bd5ea} says 3rd-5th is a good time to talk about sexual orientation.
