TxDOT to Host Workshop for Loop 360 Project

The Texas Department of Transportation will host a workshop to discuss the proposed improvements to Loop 360 at Westlake Drive on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. The workshop will be held at Riverbend Church, located at 4214 N. Capital of Texas Highway, Austin, Texas 78746. The meeting will be an open house format with no formal presentation, so attendees can come and go at their convenience. 

The purpose of the Westlake Drive project is to improve mobility and safety at the Loop 360 and Westlake Drive intersection. Proposed improvements include:

:

  • Removal of the traffic signals from the mainlanes at Westlake Drive and Cedar Street
  • Construction of either an overpass or underpass
  • Addition of a shared-use path and sidewalk within the project limits to improve bicycle and pedestrian accommodations

 

Maps, drawings and project information will be on display, and project team members will be available to answer questions. Comments from the public are requested.
